Friends of Felines's Rescue Center is a non-profit, cage free, no-kill feline care facility located in Defiance, Ohio.
Jacci Moss along with her daughter Dawn founded FFRC year 2000 with a mission of finding homes for so many orphaned as well as abandoned cats. She developed high standard protocols in adopting out rescues, one of which is the “spay/neuter before they go” to control unwanted cats in the future. They also have taken on a goal of low-cost spaying/neutering for as many cats as they can; considering it is the key, the answer, to the overpopulation problem of cats.
They have an overwhelming support from people from different countries all over the world, growing numbers of volunteers as to daily supplies of foods, cleaning tools, overall welfare of the cats.
This 24/7 live stream is one way for these people to interact with the daily activities of the rescue center as well as updates of adoptions, medical conditions, more so, the progress of every cat in the shelter. They have several rooms for the cats to roam around, they also take in pregnant cats not only in helping them nurture their newly born kitties inside its own cages but also allowing them to feel secure away from others kitties as well.
They also have resident cats living in the shelter for the rest of their lives due to their medical needs and, consequently, receiving a close monitoring of Jacci with her medical team. Cam viewers are sponsoring some cats to stay in the shelter as a 'resident cat' because of their emotional connection with the cat considering their distance towards the shelter. They have a deep emotional attachment to the cats by way of watching them on the kitty cam, celebrating every milestone of a cat's life, supporting every campaign for the benefit of all the cats as well as the whole team of Friends of Felines' Rescue Center.
